Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract
All installations are carried out by Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd, an MCS certified, NAPIT approved and TrustMark registered contractor. We aim to deliver installations to a high professional standard and ensure that every project runs smoothly for our customers.
What Happens Next
- Quotation Acceptance
Once you are happy to proceed, please confirm acceptance of the quotation.
- Deposit
A deposit of up to 20% may be required for all projects to secure materials, equipment, and installation scheduling. Orders will not be placed and installation dates will not be confirmed until the deposit has been received. The required deposit will be detailed within the quotation or proposal.
- Equipment Ordering
Once the deposit has been received, equipment will be ordered and installation dates will be scheduled.
- Installation
Our team will carry out the installation in accordance with industry standards and agreed scope of work.
- Testing and Certification
Following installation the system will be tested, commissioned and the relevant certification will be issued.
- Acceptance of Quotation
Acceptance of a quotation from Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. All work will be carried out in accordance with BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and applicable industry standards.
- Types of Work Covered
These terms apply to electrical rewires, alterations and upgrades, solar PV and battery installations, electric vehicle charging installations and other electrical works undertaken by Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd.
- Cable Routing and Making Good
Cables will be concealed wherever reasonably practicable. Where this is not possible, suitable surface containment may be used. Making good, plastering, decorating or other remedial building works are not included unless specifically stated in the quotation.
- Existing Electrical Installations
Where works connect to an existing electrical installation the quotation assumes the installation is safe and suitable for connection. If faults or non-compliances are discovered during installation these will be discussed with the customer and may require additional remedial work.
- Coordination With Other Trades
Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd cannot be responsible for delays or damage caused by other contractors working on site. Any remedial work required as a result may be subject to additional charges.
- Electric Vehicle Charging Installations
EV chargers will be installed in accordance with BS7671 and manufacturer instructions. Additional protective devices, load management equipment or distribution board upgrades may be required depending on the existing installation.
- Electrical Supply Capacity
EV installations assume the property’s electrical supply and earthing arrangements are suitable. If upgrades to the installation or network infrastructure are required these may incur additional cost. Works required by the electricity network operator are excluded unless stated.
- EV Charger Connectivity
Some EV chargers rely on internet connectivity or mobile applications for monitoring or smart charging features. Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd cannot be responsible for issues relating to internet connectivity mobile networks or third-party software.
- Solar PV and Battery Systems
Renewable energy systems are designed in accordance with Microgeneration Certification Scheme standards and the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. System design is based on the site survey and available information at the time of quotation.
- Roof Structure and Installation
Solar installations are designed following a site survey and visible inspection of the roof structure. While reasonable care is taken during this assessment Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd cannot be responsible for hidden structural defects not visible at the time of inspection.
- Roof Tile Handling
During installation roof tiles or slates may need to be lifted. Due to the age or brittleness of roofing materials tiles may occasionally crack. Reasonable care will be taken and damaged tiles identified during installation will be replaced where possible.
- System Performance Estimates
Solar generation and financial projections are estimates based on industry modelling and available site information. Actual performance may vary depending on weather shading and energy usage.
- Grid Connection and Export Limits
Solar installations may require approval from the local electricity network operator. Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd cannot be responsible for export limitations or restrictions imposed by the electricity network operator.
- Monitoring and Manufacturer Software
Renewable systems and EV chargers may provide monitoring through manufacturer apps or online portals. The operation of these services is controlled by the manufacturer and internet provider and cannot be guaranteed.
- Customer Supplied Equipment
If customers supply their own equipment Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd cannot accept responsibility for compatibility performance or manufacturer warranty.
- Quotation Validity
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Where installation is delayed beyond this period the quotation may need to be reviewed.
- Pricing and Supplier Cost Changes
Quotations are based on labour, materials, fuel and supplier costs at the time of issue. If significant increases occur before installation the quotation may need to be reviewed with the customer.
- Renewable Equipment Pricing
Solar panels inverters battery storage systems and EV chargers may be subject to manufacturer price adjustments. If supplier prices change prior to installation equipment pricing may need to be reviewed.
- Payment Terms
Standard electrical works are payable within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed. Larger installations may be subject to staged payments.
- Deposits
A deposit of 20% may be required to secure materials.
- Certification
Upon completion of work and receipt of final payment relevant certification will be issued where applicable.
- Cancellation Rights
Customers have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting a quotation where the contract is agreed away from the trader premises.
- Access to Property
The customer must provide safe access to the property and work areas at the agreed time of installation.
- Warranty
Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd provides a 2-year workmanship warranty on installations. Manufacturer warranties apply to equipment supplied.
- Communication and Support
If customers have any questions during or after the installation, they are encouraged to contact Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd so that we can assist.
- Protection of Installed Works
If electrical equipment or wiring is damaged or altered by other contractors after installation any remedial work may be subject to additional charges.
- Complaints Procedure
If any concerns arise customers should contact Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd in the first instance so the matter can be resolved promptly.

- Accreditation
Dinefwr Electrical & Solar Ltd operates under recognised industry accreditations including NAPIT, the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, the Renewable Energy Consumer Code and TrustMark.
